Separate service calls from planned projects
A power issue, a panel-replacement inquiry, an EV charger request, and a commercial maintenance call do not need the same intake. Capture the caller’s description, address, property type, callback details, and whether they are requesting a repair or an estimate. Do not ask the caller to open equipment, perform electrical tests, or attempt a repair.
- Record the customer’s own description without diagnosing the cause.
- Route safety concerns using the business’s approved emergency script.
- Check the service area and property type before offering an appointment.
- Escalate utility, outage, permitting, and scope questions to the responsible person.
Make project estimates easier to act on
For planned upgrades, gather the intended use, site location, and requested timing so the estimator can prepare. Record whether a site visit is needed instead of offering an unverified installation price. When an estimate is sent, assign a follow-up owner and preserve questions about equipment, scope, access, and timing with that estimate. An automated reply should never promise code compliance or permit approval.
Measure the work that reaches your team
Compare service inquiries, qualified site visits, estimate questions resolved, and work accepted. Track inappropriate bookings and missing job details as carefully as call volume. That shows whether the workflow is reducing coordination work or simply sending your electricians more incomplete requests.
Recovery starts with eligible records
For a Revenue Recovery Campaign, first-party records must connect to a real prior inquiry or customer relationship. PublicProof requires at least 500 usable records and a separate campaign-fit review. Define the appointment standard, service area, exclusions, and who will attend before outreach starts. The campaign runs for 90 days; performance fees apply to qualified appointments that actually occur. Shared Start activation and rate-lock fees are separate. Appointment volume, sales, and revenue are not guaranteed.
Keep the business in control
Your team approves service information, owns pricing and technical decisions, and handles the sale. Start with a limited workflow, test realistic calls, and review unresolved requests. Track conversations, qualified inquiries, appointments held, and the reason each opportunity did or did not move forward. Use those findings to improve the process before adding more automation.
Questions before you start
What should we prepare before a workflow review?
Bring your service area, appointment types, current intake process, escalation contacts, and one example of an inquiry or estimate that lost its next step. Do not send customer records through a public website form.
Does every inquiry belong in a recovery campaign?
No. Incoming-call handling and estimate follow-up can be scoped separately. A Revenue Recovery Campaign requires at least 500 usable first-party records plus review of eligibility, quality, capacity, and appointment qualification.
